Tecina Golf Club
The Tecina Golf Course, located on the island of La Gomera, was designed by Donald Steel, who was also responsible for the New St. Andrews course, ampng many others. This eighteen-hole, par- 71 course covers an approximate area of 545.000 square metres with an overall length of 6,205 metres. Three hundred thousand square metres have been devoted to the playing area, while almost exactly a third is dedicated to landscaped gardens and paths. The location of the course on the slopes of Tecina with spectacular wiews of the valley and the Atlantic Ocean with the majestic Mount Teide in the distance as well as the varied local vegetation guarantees golfers a unique experience.
In the upper part of the course there are native plants typical of the more arid areas of the island. Then, as you descend, you will come across ever more luxuriant vegetation until you reach the tropical species and fruit trees in the vicinity of the Hotel Jardión Tecina. The 169-metre Fourth incities the golfer to drive over the Tapahuga ravine for a tough par three, while the 337-metre Tenth is worthly of special mention for its length and layout: the tee is all of forty-five metres abouve the levele of the green, offering players an unforgetable panorama of the Lomada de Tecina with the Atlantic as a backdrop.
There are no buildings of any kind on the course so as to ensure uninterrupted views of the sea, the mountains and the local plant life.
The Club House´s provides a cosy atmoshere for our players. The country cottage style Club House is situated near the Driving range, the Putting green and the Chipping green. From this vantage point our players will be able to admire magnificent views over Tapahuga Beach and have use of changing rooms, coffee bar, shop,storage room for clubs and a terrace.

The course is located only two kilometres outside Playa Santiago on the road from San Sebstian de La Gomera. There are a range of daily flights and ferry crossings from the island of Tenerife.
