Lauro Golf Club
In this "circular" course, open to the public in 1985 and designed by Robert Trent Jones, two distinctive parts can be appreciated. The first one, of English style, with long and narrow fairways and elevated greens. Passed this half, the now wider fairways make the course easier, although one must be aware of the obstacles that protect the green, mainly the bunkers. Its orography makes evident the presence of steep hills and difficulties in the tee shots. During the whole round, one must take into account the very strong easterly wind that blows regularly and cuts across the best shots. The beauty of some spots can also affect the players concentration as in those bright days with excellent visibility when the Rock and the African coast can be clearly seen.
