Home of the Canarie Spanish Open 2003
Only five kilometres away from Playa de las Américas, Golf Costa Adeje has been created with the aim of becoming an imprtant leisure option in the Canary Islands. The first eighteen of the total of twenty-seven holes occupy an area of eight hundred thousand square metres. The designer of the course is the world-renowned Pepe Gancedo, who has been responsible for a further fourteen courses on both sides of the Atlantic and whose philosophy it is to hand craft each hole adapting the course to the existing terrain and paying maximum respect to the environment and local plant life.
This pilosophy is clear for all to see at Costa adeje, where the fairways follows the natural contours of the land. Over fifty thousand square metres of dry stone walls delineating original agricultural terraces have been restored and the greens have been strategically laid out along the course, which enjoys spctacular views of the Atlantic, the island of La Gomera, Playa de las Américas and the mountains of Adeje.
On the whole, the reens are generously sized. The course, desiged with equal numbers of three, four and five par holes, starts with a long par five hundred and ten metres. The eighteenth is also a par five of five hundred metres.
Among the complementrary facilities at Costa Adeje, there is a fifteen-thousand-square-sloping terrain. There is a lift capable of accommodation a golf buggy between the course itself and the driving range, a height difference of some twenty-five metres.
It is also important to mention the recently opened Restaurante Cinco Olivos in the Casa Club de Costa Adeje, whose kitchen combines the tastes of France, the Caribbean and the Mediteranean and provides an endless selection of wines and an impeccable service.
Opening time: 11:00 - 17:00 hours from Tuesday to Sunday.
